Finally Sping Time

Last weekend was beautiful!! Asante's drill was cancelled so we had the whole weekend together, told you I was lucky! Saturday I went to the zoo with my bestfriend, Jenna and her daughter, Hallie. We had so much fun, three is a great age to enjoy the zoo!

Saturday evening Asante and I went on a date!! We went to the dinner at the Cheesecake Factory on the Plaza. There was a little bit ouf a wait so we took advantage of the amazing weather and walked around. Dinner was great as always and the cheesecake was the best part!

Sunday we cleaning and spent a little time outside... it was pretty hot so not too much time!

I don't want to brag... but I have the BEST Fiance!!

According to my last post.... I was feeling VERY overwhelmed! Our apartment, for lack of a better term, was a mess and I didnt have time or even know where to start in cleaning it up! Asante has class Wednesday nights so he is off work most Wednesdays. He usually spends his off days playing video games :-) So when I came home a few Wednesdays ago to a clean apartment... I was in total shock!!! I am so thankful for Asante and I have no idea what I would do without him! The bad news... bathroom is still not done! We have pretty much given up on the guy who was doing it. We plan to finish it ourselves; just have to find the time!

Asante is getting braces!!

He had his first appointment this afternoon to get molds and pictures of his mouth, not too exciting, until he called me to check his work schedule for the next few weeks. The days the doctor had open, he worked...thank you retail. So he said why not today?? Sure enough, as we speak, he is sitting in the orthodontist's chair gettting his braces put on :-) It will be a huge change but he is really excited, so I am really excited for him! I got my braces off when I was 14 so it is all a little funny to me. Leason learned... wear your retainer!!

4 Weeks... WOW Thought it was 4 Days!!

Well I just realized it has been four weeks since my last post... why you might ask... my only reason is because our live is a mess right now. When I say a mess, that sounds like a very bad thing, but what I really mean is everything is MESSY!!

At the end of February, Asante and I moved in with my grandma, Grams. We packed and cleaned our apartment and were out by February 26th. Once we got everything to Grams, it becuase very apparent how much "stuff" we really have. About 10 donation bags and a full storage unit later I still feel like we have no where to put our stuff. Both of our cars are still full of stuff; I am about at the point I just want to trow it all away! It has been 3 and a half weeks and I am finally starting to relax :-) If you know me at all... messy is very hard for me to handle! I am so blessed to have an amazing Fiance who keeps me calm and reminds me that everything will turn out fine. We still have a few boxes that need to go to storage and more shoes than I know what to do with, but things are starting to come together and I couldn't be happier about it.

Side note.... Before we moved in, Grams started to have the bathroom re-done. I am soooo happy about this! When I lived there before it grossed me out just a little bit. Needless to say, it is nowhere near finished. At least now we have a toilet and sink, so I don't have to run upstairs first thing in the morning, after waiting in bed too long :-)
