Scott's Spot: 6 Months

I cannot believe Asante is already 6 months!! He is such a big boy; it is so much fun to watch him learn and grown every single day! Asante is rolling over from front to back, and sitting up on his own now. He is also making efforts to crawl!! He gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth then pushes himself backwards. He loves it and you can tell how proud he is by his cute little smile and laugh. We have increased his food to 3 times a day, and he is still taking around 3 bottles a day. We are on stage 2 baby food, which is combinations.... and MEAT! So far he has had chicken, and liked it a lot. Asante has also started to feed himself! We give him banana flavored crackers called MumMums, and he usually eats the whole thing all by himself. He is such a good eater :-) We haven't seen any teeth yet, but you can feel the little bumps. Any day now one will break through! He has really started to reach out for things, especially peoples faces! He loves to touch your mouth while you talk, and of course pull hair! His two middle fingers are still his favorite, we might have to do something about that soon, but it is so cute!! His 6 month check up was Tuesday, 2/5/13. He weighed 16.11 pounds and is 26 inches. He is in the 25-50% for weight and head size, and in the 15-25% for height. Dr. Cosgrove is happy with his growth and development. He got three shots, and took them like a champ! Only a little crying and then was good to go... such a tough guy! We are heading to Kansas for the second time on Saturday, and we are BEYOND excited!!
