Bridal Shower

Last weekend was my bridal shower! It was a wonderful time, and I am so glad that so many people could make it! We had such fun, talking and eating, just enjoying the time together. Of course there were a few games, and many gifts too!

Some of the snacks :-)

My mom, me and my sister before the party

One of the games was to make a wedding dress out of toilet paper. Three very different dresses, all great!

Time for gifts!!

Childhood friends

Eric and Kacy drove from Saint Louis Sunday morning so they could be there for the shower. Since it was girls only Eric, and our Uncle Mark went out for drinks instead. They joined us afterwards. Thank you so much for coming, it really meant a lot!!

Visit to STL

My brother, Eric and his girlfriend, Kacy, just moved to St. Louis from Dallas. Andrea and I took a long weekend to visit them. We had an amazing time, and it was great to see them! We got in Friday afternoon. Eric was still at work, so Kacy showed us around their neighborhood. When Eric got home we started dinner. They have a nice patio that we could hang out on. We sat around eating and talking all evening.
Saturday, Kacy had to work so we went to see her and eat lunch. She works at a great cupcakery. I was so excited to hear about it! The cupcakes were AMAZING, rightfully so because they won Cupcake Wars on Food Network.
Saturday afternoon we went to the farmers market. It was a lot of fun, but so hot! Thank goodness we were able to have bloody mary's.
After the farmers market, we went home to clean up and then headed to dinner. We went to a great pizza place downtown, called Pi. They had every kind of pizza you would think of! I had pepperoni, roasted garlic, sun dried tomatoes and pesto... yummy :-) After dinner we went to a movie in the park, Goonies! There were so many people there, and it was really fun!
We couldn't go to Saint Louis, and not go to the zoo! Sunday we slept in and had a great breakfast and then headed to the zoo. It was pretty fun, however it was so hot! Most of the animals were inside and we wished we were too. Thankfully, the zoo has a few animal houses, we spent a lot of time at the reptile house :-) Hopefully, we will be able to take another trip this fall when it is nicer outside!

Little Cowgirl

It has been a while since I posted, that is mostly because we have been so busy and a little because I have been sick this last week. Time is really flying by, and the wedding will be here so soon! It has been so nice to have this time off. My best friend, Jenna doesn't work on Friday's so I try to get together with her and her daughter, my god-daughter Hallie, as much as I can! A few weeks ago we went out to my mom's house so she could see the animals. She got to play with the dogs and cat first, then it was off to the more exciting animals. We just looked at the rabbits. Hallie really wanted to pet and hold them, but they are a little bit mean. However; she did get to pet the horses. She was not scared at all, and pretty soon we will have her riding!!

Hallie just looking at first
She loved them, and since she had the food, they loved her!

Happy Birthday America!

Amar and I spent 4th of July at my moms house. We went to the Stilwell Parade, which my sister and her friend rode the horses in. After the parade, we cooked out at my moms. We had so much food, and it was great to all be together! Of course you can't have 4th of July without fireworks.... Amar and Andrea lit off fireworks well into the night. I love fireworks, but I'd rather just watch, so the rest of us just sat back and relaxed! We had a fabulous time, hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday!

I made brownie stuffed chocolate chip cookies....soooo good!

Amar and I at the parade

Andrea and her friend Ian in the parade.... she is such a cowgirl!

Trying the light their firecrackers at the same time.... harder than it looks!

I love sparklers!
