Friends!

I have some of the best friends in the world and I am so thankful for each and everyone of them! I have been so very blessed to make life long friends in every stage of my life, from elementary school all the way into my adulthood. Two years ago I met an amazing person and from the moment I interviewed her at work, I knew we would be great friends! Katherine is one of the kindest, most sincere, fun loving people I have ever met! I could not think of a better person to spend at least 45 hours a week with! She makes every day at work manageable, and even fun sometimes :-) Last week was Administrative Professionals Day, so what better way to celebrate our friendship than a lunch at McCormick and Schmick's! We had a wonderful time and since we never get to go to lunch together, it was really nice for it to be just the two of us!

One Step Closer

Another day of Hooky :-) well at least for Asante. We took yesterday off to take care of some wedding stuff. The morning consisted of cleaning and doing a little laundry. Then I went to lunch with my friend, Kirsten, to ask her to be one of my bridesmaids... she said Yes haha After Lunch Asante met me at Wal-Mart to FINALLY go grocery shopping, we haven't been in weeks! After shopping we went home to finish a little cleaning and got ready to go to our wedding tasting. It was great! We figured out everything we want to serve and to our surprise it was super easy! It's a good thing we are such a great team :-)

Easter 2011

I hope everyone has had a blessed Easter. We have had a wonderful day. Our Easter started yesterday with the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Grams'. It was a blast as usual :-)

The table setting... I didn't get a picture of all the food, but it was a great dinner! Everyone brought a little something to share, and like always we had a ton of leftovers!

These are some cute eggs that I hung up outside.... They were bright and sparkly.... I loved them!!

You would think, with the way we all sit and talk for hours, that we never see each other. When in fact we get together almost every week. The

party started at 4 and lasted until after 10, but thats how it always is with my family! We just love spending time together :-) At one point I noticed Asante and my cousin Michael were missing. This is what I found....

Sunday we went to Easter service, followed by brunch with family. I still have not found my camera charger so we only one one picture.... thank goodness I have a great camera on my phone!

All Grown up!

My baby sister is only a few weeks away from graduation!! Monday we went to her NHS hooding ceremony. My mom was out of town, soooo my whole family came!! We are so blessed to live so close to all of our family members.... I am soooo proud of her!!!

Let the Wedding Season Begin!

Asante and I went to our first out of three friends weddings this Saturday. The wedding was for Asante's friend Erin. He had not seen her in a little while and I had never met her so it was really nice to catch up. It was a beautiful wedding, and we had a really great time!

It was perfect weather for an outdoor wedding!

Hooky :-)

I played a little game of hooky the last few weeks... well I guess it is not hookie when you have an approved day off, but it's more fun! Asante has Wednesday's off because of class so last week we decided to go to the Royal's game. I took a half day, thankfully my boss let me leave, and we headed to the ballpark. It was a really great game, and perfect weather. It was so great to be outside and enjoy some baseball! They went to 12 innings, but we had to leave in the 11th becuase both of us had class. The Royals ended up losing. We plan to go to a lot of games this year, so hopefully the next one we can get the win :-)

Second day of hooky was yesterday :-) Dont think I am a rebel... it's all approved time! Amar had the day off aswell. We slept in, which never happens! Then I had a dentist appointment and Amar had hair appointment. We planned to have a meeting with our wedding florist, but she rescheduled for Sunday, hopefully I will have a lot to blog about then! After getting ready, we went to get our passports! Neither one of us have been out of the country so we were very excited! Since we were not meeting our florist, we had time to drive around and look at house... which at this point is just something kinda fun to do. Hopefully soon we will actually be looking to buy. Afterwards we went to the mall and I found a dress for my friend Lizzie's wedding in June. Amar made dinner, while I studyed. It ended up being a fabulous day, as always when we actually have a day off together!!

Finally Sping Time

Last weekend was beautiful!! Asante's drill was cancelled so we had the whole weekend together, told you I was lucky! Saturday I went to the zoo with my bestfriend, Jenna and her daughter, Hallie. We had so much fun, three is a great age to enjoy the zoo!

Saturday evening Asante and I went on a date!! We went to the dinner at the Cheesecake Factory on the Plaza. There was a little bit ouf a wait so we took advantage of the amazing weather and walked around. Dinner was great as always and the cheesecake was the best part!

Sunday we cleaning and spent a little time outside... it was pretty hot so not too much time!

I don't want to brag... but I have the BEST Fiance!!

According to my last post.... I was feeling VERY overwhelmed! Our apartment, for lack of a better term, was a mess and I didnt have time or even know where to start in cleaning it up! Asante has class Wednesday nights so he is off work most Wednesdays. He usually spends his off days playing video games :-) So when I came home a few Wednesdays ago to a clean apartment... I was in total shock!!! I am so thankful for Asante and I have no idea what I would do without him! The bad news... bathroom is still not done! We have pretty much given up on the guy who was doing it. We plan to finish it ourselves; just have to find the time!
